New for 2026

We are sharing the new drop off and pick up routine for cars.  Please read carefully.  We will have a lot of signage and support for this new routine. This routine was developed as we have spent time since last winter looking at making it safer for kids and adults.  It is appreciated and expected that we will all work together on this new routine.  This is the most challenging time of our day.  The goal is always about safety.  The children who get in and out of cars need all adult support to do so safely. If a grandparent or babysitter will be the regular person picking up or dropping off your child please share this with them.

Drop Off
  • You will be stopped at the crosswalk before pulling up along the sidewalk. All cars will pull up and put their cars in park before children exit the car.
  • Children exit the passenger side. They need to be able to get out with or without their backpack on. Once on the sidewalk they can put on their backpack.  (Children get off the buses similarly.)
  • Children will then walk in the front doors of school.
  • Preschool parents may get out of their car to assist. All others stay in cars.
  • This is not a time for pictures or goodbyes outside of the cars.  This is for safety and for consideration of the time it takes for up to 150 cars to drop off students.  Drop off begins at 7:35.

Pick Up
  • Do not get in line until 1:50 at the earliest. Also the state of New Hampshire asks cars to not idle while waiting by schools.
  • Cars will be pulled through once all the buses have left. This will be at approximately 2:22.
  • Staff will pull cars through as they do in the morning.  All cars pull up and put in park children will be released in the order the cars are parked. Do not get out and wave your child to your car. 

At all times no cars are to drive around another to leave before all cars have let their children out or in.

We will not be dismissing students from the office after 1:45.   This is a very busy time for our office, along with buses, Bow Rec, and other after school people getting in place. This has been our practice in past years and we have found we need to return to it.   We thank you for your cooperation.

If you have not done so please put your child’s default end of day plans into PUP.  Hannah and Jessica will be calling in the next 2 days if you have not.  The less calls the better.  We work hard to make sure dismissal is as calm and easy for all as possible.
